"Private Magazine" was founded by Bert Milton in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1965 as the world's 1st full color "hardcore" magazine. In the early 1990s, his , Bert Milton Jr., began running the company. Milton Jr. moved the company to Sant Cugat del Vallés, Barcelona, Spain, and modernized it to produce one as well as the other traditional and online content. In 1999, Private became the 1st adult entertainment company to be listed on the stock swap.
